5 Reasons to Wet Your Pants at Splashdown Park This Summer!

5 Reasons to Wet Your Pants at Splashdown Park This Summer!

Slides

My family made a trip out to Splashdown Park in sunny Tsawwassen last weekend, and boy did we have a blast! When we arrived on site the first thing you smell is a mixture of pool & sunscreen, you know you are in for some Summer fun!

Splashdown Park is the only Waterslide Park in Greater Vancouver and has been providing families with family fun for over 30 years! This 7 acre park has 13 different waterslides for all different thrill levels. There is tons of fun for family of all ages with 5 children slides, 6 wadding pools, toddler water play area, main pool, giant Hot Tub, Volleyball & Basketball Courts, Video Game Arcade, picnic area and more. It is no wonder that they have 80,000 – 100,000 people come through their gates each season.

My top 5 reasons why you and your family need to make a visit to Splashdown Park this Summer!

1. Outstanding Child Area: There are 5 different children slides with small wading pools at the end of each slide. With a large and colourful Splash Pad for younger kids that might not enjoy the slides.

2. Bring in your own food: While they have food onsite at Smiles Full Food Concession or Goodies Store, they allow you to bring in your own food to enjoy in their large picnic area. There is also the option to rent a BBQ from them on site and enjoy a BBQ in the sun!

3. The Blackhole: The black pipes offer a completely different sliding experience. The Black Hole is so dark you can’t see what’s coming! When we came to Splashdown last Summer Zachary was just a touch short to ride, but this Summer was a different story! I could hardly pull Zachary and his Auntie & Uncle away from these slides!

4. The Giant Hot Tub: They have a large 10,000 gallon hot tub is maintained at approximately 37°C. We took a few dips in after a few runs on the slides to warm back up. It was very refreshing and therapeutic!

Zachary loved warming up before running back on the slides again.

5. The Main Pool: This is largest of the three receiving pools also has plenty of space to play in the water. If you are coming with Preschoolers the depth is perfect for them to play and still be able to touch the ground. If you are brining and infant (as I did) you are allowed to bring in your own flotation device so they may splash and play.

Thank you Splashdown Park for having my family and I for a visit, we will be back later this Summer for more fun for Zachary’s Beavers Summer trip. This park is really a bunch of fun for all ages!
