There are still a couple of weeks left before the little ones are back to school, and although the days are already getting shorter, I’m not ready to give up all of the fun and get back into the grind just yet!
During the times that we have been taking a break from the heat the last couple of weeks, my girls and I have been enjoying listening Bobs & LoLo’s new cd in our living room. The title song, Dirty Feet, is the first on the album; and it instantly brings my four year old to her feet with a smile on her face.
The only time that she sat through it instead of dancing was the day that I showed her the music video for it. She replayed it about a dozen times before I was able to coax her away from the screen. And as an added bonus, family members keep asking me bewilderedly why she is constantly singing about having dirty feet. This amuses me immensely for some reason.
The variety of songs on this album is really nice, with some slow and soothing and others more upbeat. My personal favourite right now is a catchy tune called Being Me. It’s a song about dreaming big and and aiming to be the best that you can be.
For this album, Bobs and LoLo have also taken their beautifully illustrated book Run Salmon Run and made it into a song with a video that matches the storybook. You can watch it here:
Dirty Feet was released on July 31, 2015 and you can buy it now on iTunes.
