Cheap & Easy Halloween Project: DIY Mummy Front Door

Cheap & Easy Halloween Project DIY Mummy Front Door

This year we have this huge new front door so I was trying to rack my brain to think of something a little different to replace my Halloween wreath, which did not make it one piece through the move.

As I was walking the Halloween aisle at my local dollar store I came across these big google eyes. At first, I thought maybe I would make a ghost, simple enough that I would just need a while plastic table cloth. As I set out to that aisle I passed the birthday decoration section and my eyes spotted the white streamers. And so I decided that this year we would have a Mummy Front Door!

What you need:

  • Tape
  • 2 rolls of white streamers
  • Set of google eyes ( you could also just cut a pair of eyes out of paper)

Take your white streamers and just start wrapping. Try to get it as tight as you can without ripping the streamers and tape off each end of the door. Once you are done wrapping your door, add your eyes and you will have yourself a Mummy Front Door.

What I love about this project is that it was very simple so it was something that even my preschooler could take part in.

Tip: Make sure your streamers are really tightly wrapped. I found one night of the damp and cold caused my streamers to drop which caused me to have to touch up a few the next day.
