We’re a big arts and craft family, so when Cassie from Curiosity Box asked us if we would like to test out the June Subscription box we jumped at the chance.
With knowing that Summer vacation was upon us our Curiosity Box could not have arrived at a better time. The box that we received was the June Subscription Box which was a Father’s Day and Camping theme.
This box saved my life, Father’s Day really crept up on me this year. The day before I realized that I had totally forgotten! I remembered we had our Curiosity Box which came with a huge Father’s Day card and a cute picture frame craft for Dad. While my husband was at work we set out to work on his Father’s Day gift.
The cards were so fun to make and they really took their time to make sure that every space on that card was colored and looking great for Dad. My glue happy little Nathan had a blast gluing together the stars on his picture frame.
As we had Beaver’s Family Camp coming up the first weekend in July it was the perfect time to start work on our camping themed crafts. Each kit came with easy to remove flames and marshmallow roasting sticks with adhesive that you either can make into a fire pit or a headband for your child. We have a campfire ban on here in British Columbia, so we had fun making the campfire and pretending to roast marshmallows around the table.
The last craft the boys wanted to make was the camping photo frame, which we will fill later this Summer after we have our family camping trip. This has all the pieces you need to put together these cute little frames that are easy for little hands to work with. It is hard to get these boys to sit still and they really took their time and put a lot of pride into making these works of art.
Though we had a great time making all the fun crafts that came along with the box, I would say that the biggest hit was the extra activities that come in the box. My boys spent a good few hours of their afternoon running around our complex looking for birds and collecting “treasures” in their camp box.
This is our second time using a Curiosity Box and I will stand by my first impression, this is a great product for a busy parent. If you love to do crafts with your kids but just can’t seem to find the time to put them together this is the subscription box for you.
I love that if you have more than one child as I do you can purchase the sibling add-on for only $11.95 and receive a second full kit and the box comes addressed to both children.
Are you unsure you want to commit to a subscription? No problem, try the Curiosity Singles Boxes! They have many different themes to choose from Dinosaur Times to Camping Adventures.
