My eldest son is turning 7 years old this year, he has requested to have a Minecraft themed party this year. Of course, he picks a theme that I can’t just run into any Walmart and grab party supplies. This year he has made it a little more challenging for me, this party is going to completely do- it- yourself.
The first item on my list this year was to figure out a goody bag that wasn’t just going to be throwing my hard-earned money in the trash as most goody bags are. One afternoon my son asked me if I would like to play lego with him, as we were playing we started talking about his upcoming party, I asked him what he thought would be a nice goody bag for his friends and he said “Lego”. So we worked together to try to build the classic Minecraft creature the Creeper.
The first day back to school I popped over to our local Lego Store Pick a Brick Station and was met by the friendly staff who helped me find all the pieces that I was going to need to complete this project.
Here are the steps that I used to create this “Build Your Own Creeper”:
Ideally, you would get all these bricks in creeper green.
One – 2×3
Four – 1×2
Four – 2×2 Flat
One – 1 Flat
I bought clear sealable plastic bags in the craft section of the dollar store and found some FREE printable tags on Pinterest.
These have to be one of the favorite goody bags that I have made over the years, not only are the super cute they did not break the bank.
