Not long ago, we joined the YVR bloggers to visit Hopcott Farms and take part in all the fun of opening day at Meadows Maze!
The afternoon started with a visit to Hopcott Premium Meats. An array of the local products that are carried in-store were available for sampling, and we were treated to freshly barbecued hot dogs, cheeseburgers and cold drinks. Everything was delicious!
The kids enjoyed face painting, a colouring contest and hanging out with donkeys.
After packing everyone into the car we headed to another part of the farm (only one minute away) called Meadows Maze, where they have 17 acres of corn mazes and a ton of other fun activities set up.
The first thing we noticed was the slide.
And we arrived just in time for pig races!
We spent over 3 hours there, and the kids didn’t want to leave because there were still a few activities that we hadn’t gotten to yet!
Here are a few of the highlights from our visit:
Before we headed home, we popped back in to the Hopcott’s Premium Meats market quickly to pick up some of the fresh farmer’s sausage and almond butter crunch that we’d sampled earlier in the day.
As soon as we got home, I pan-fried the farmer’s sausage and served it with perogies and sour cream. The girls loved it so much that they requested the same again for supper the next night.
