It has recently come to light that a major coding flaw has left our information vulnerable on some of the most popular websites across the internet.
This morning I received an email from Pinterest notifying me that their site has been affected and that patches have been used to correct the problem.
If you have a Pinterest account please update your password ASAP!
Note that it is only effective to update passwords on sites that have resolved the bug, as new passwords will still be vulnerable on sites that have not yet been updated.
It is not clear how much information has been compromised at this time. The flawed code was put in use approximately two years ago, but it is unknown whether the vulnerability was known to anyone before this week.
According to Mashable.com Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr have all been affected as well. (Click here for a more complete list of affected sites.
