As I am sure you can tell, I love my slow cooker! Most days between running my boys to and from school, doctors appointments and just running our household, I just don’t have a lot of time to spent in the kitchen slaving over the stove. I am always looking for new ideas.
This week while I was doing my monthly Costco run I picked up some roast, which is something I do not normally buy because well, my husband doesn’t like it. Those who know my husband know that he has to be the picky man on the fast of the planet when it comes to food. He doesn’t like chicken, steak, roast and the list can go on.
I was determined that I was going to make a roast that this man was going to love using the some ingredients I use to make the only chicken this man prefers to eat. And guess what? It worked, not only did I get the thumbs up from my picky husband but he went back for seconds!
- Pot Roast
- 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
- 1 package of onion soup mix
- 1 1/4 cup of water
- salt & pepper (to taste)
Spray inside of the slow cooker with cooking spray.
Place roast into slow cooker.
Puncture with a fork and sprinkle with salt & pepper to taste.
In a bowl whisk together cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix, and water.
Pour mixture over top of roast.
Cook 7 to 8 hours on low or 4 to 5 hours on high.
I served mine with potatoes and veggies and used the mushroom soup mix as a gravy. This meal is so moist and just delicious.
