Rachel’s Day in the Garden (A Kids Yoga Spring Colors Book)
Written by: Giselle Shardlow
My review: This 34 page picture book offers a fun introduction to yoga that I would recommend for children ages two to seven years old.
This story follows Rachel and her puppy dog through the garden in search of signs of spring, teaching a variety of colors and basic yoga moves. The illustrations are beautifully drawn with the yoga poses very clearly pictured. I found it very easy to follow along even though I have very limited knowledge in this area, and each pose fit nicely with the part of the story that it was written into. My children, ages three and six, were both very much engaged in acting out this story. I found it to be a really fun and relaxing way to spend time teaching them something new, and I would recommend this book for anyone who would like to teach their young children the basics of yoga.
