Toy Box Reopens in New Location! #Contest

toyboxgrandopeningLast Saturday we packed the kids into the car, and headed into Vancouver for a few hours of fun at the Toy Box‘s grand opening!

Owners Misti and Gary Mussatto have created a magical experience for families who pop in to shop at their toy workshop themed store, located at 2933 West Broadway.

Groovy Girl and Mrs. Norwood of the Calico Critters were both on hand to greet visitors as they arrived on opening day. With free glitter tattoos, a magician performing mind boggling card tricks, great discounts, and a fabulous staff, (plus so much more!) it was a great time.

While we were there, we took on the role of toy inspectors and browsed the store for the products on a list provided to us. After finding each item, and checking off the ones that interested them, the girls each received an “Official Toy Inspector” certificate, and an entry into the Toy Box’s monthly contest.

Just before we headed back home, I had my husband distract the kids with a trip to the produce store across the street, and I snuck back into the Toy Box to get some glitter tattoo kits. I have been counting down the days to Christmas ever since, because I can’t wait to see the look on my daughters’ little faces when they find this surprise in their stockings!

My girls have been asking to go back to the Toy Box every day, and I’m inclined to return soon to do some more Christmas shopping. The store layout is just as well thought out as the workshop theme. With related toys neatly lining the shelves in each section, and activities for hands-on exploration set up throughout the store – shopping there is a lot of fun!
